Deliberate Ambiguity
The problem with university level literature classes is that they’re designed to work around certain timetables.
If you were to design a class on Dream of the Red Chamber, you’d have to skip through yesterday’s poem. There’s simply no way you could devote enough time and attention to analyzing it to satisfy all students.
This is one of the reasons why our education systems frequently revert to something akin to route memorization. It’s not because route memorization is the “best” or “most proper” way to learn. Rather, it’s because there simply isn’t enough time to jump into this stuff the way we should. Instead, we become preoccupied with artificial deadlines: semesters, years, and so on.
However, the world of blogging is different. We can jump into this together and see what we get out of it. So let’s dive on in.
